About us

The Institute of Tropical Medicine in Antwerp strives for the advancement of science and health for all, through innovative research, advanced education, professional medical services and capacity sharing with partner institutions in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

The Applied Technology and Production Unit within the Institute produces diagnostic tests for neglected tropical diseases that have been compromised by market failures and are therefore unattractive to commercial partners.
